Trust me, I have been there. The day my sister asked me to help apply some dye on her hair. It was a disaster. While I was struggling to dye her hair, I mistakenly poured the dye all over our bathroom sink to the extent that it affected our bathtub as well. Fortunately, I was able to get the dye stains off from our sink and bathtub.

Therefore, in this post, I will be discussing the effective ways on how to get hair dye off sink when dried. Note that the methods explained in this article work perfectly.

  • To remove hair dye from sink when dried, get a bottle of Clorox Cleaner and Bleach from Amazon here
  • Spray some good amount of the Clorox Cleaner and Bleach to the affected
  • Now, sit behind and watch all the dye stains disappear from your bathroom sink and bathtub
  • Give the bleach at least 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the nature of the stain to do the work for you
  • While it’s done removing the dye stains, get a rag or cloth
  • Use the cloth to clean up your sink and bathtubs to their shining nature

Like I said earlier, this method works 100%. This was the method I used to remove all the dye stains that happened that day. It works like a miracle.

You can watch the video below from Cheap & Cheeky YouTube Channel and see how she was able to use this method to remove all dye stains from her bathroom sink. It worked like magic.

However, while using the Clorox Cleaner and Bleach, if it did not remove the stains completely on the first spray, spray some more on the dye stain and watch it do the job. The bleach will be the one removing the stains for you. Then, when it’s done removing the stains, use a wet rag to clean your sink or bathtub to its shining nature.

SECOND METHOD

Another way you can successfully remove hair dye off your bathroom sink and bathtub without baking soda is to:

  • Get a nail polish remover
  • Spray a good amount of hair polish remover on the affected areas
  • Use a wiper or cloth or anything to scrub the nail publish remover all over the affected area
  • You have to continue scrubbing for the stains to be completely removed

However, it is important to note that doing this requires a large quantity of nail polish remover. Therefore, apply a good amount of the nail polish remover and scrub until the stain is gone.
